I initially opened Sassy’s Edgy Designs back in 2015 as a way to earn income while battling my chronic illnesses. Over the years it has become so much more for me than just a way to earn an income. This creative outlet has truly helped me to survive through C-PTSD, chronic kidney stones, Primary Sjogren's, spinal stenosis, 9 herniated discs, spinal cord impingement, non-length dependent small fiber neuropathy, dysautonomia, diverticulosis, PCOS, recurring rupturing large ovarian cysts, post-cholecystectomy syndrome, fibromyalgia, and depression (it's a decently long list but I know a lot of my spoonie friends can empathize). I have customers that have turned into friends that I have been excited to keep in touch with over the years. I have a way to give a boost to voices that need to be heard from the mental illness, body positive, women’s empowerment, and chronic illness communities. I have heard stories and seen pictures from customers that have worn my tees and bracelets to do and see amazing things which gives me a sense of happiness that is even hard to put into words.

I know that some of you original Sassy’s supporters have seen the shift in the nature of my designs from the harder rock and horror to some of the more awareness-related and lighter designs and I hope I’m not losing you all along the way. I’m not rebranding, I’m just expanding. I will add in some new horror and music designs as I can but I also want to be more open to more than just a few types of designs. I know most business-savvy people would say that’s a bad idea and maybe someday I’ll start up another shop to split up the different kinds of designs but for now I hope you’re enjoying the diversity as well.

My sincere hope is that my designs can give ALL of you (no matter what brought you to Sassy’s) a small sense of that happiness that you have given me and for those that are hanging on through the hard times I hope that it can give you some hope. I am forever grateful for all of your support through the years and thank you from the bottom of my heart!
